Malaika MaVeena is an internationally respected Ecstatic Dance DJ and movement ceremonialist with decades of experience guiding transformational spaces across the globe. Known for her intuitive flow and grounded presence, she crafts musical journeys that go far beyond entertainment — they are rituals of return.
Malaika has been a pioneer of the Conscious Dance Movement and is the Creatrix of 5Elements Dance Activation™ since 1999. Using the map of the 5 Elements to restore the Ancient practice of Ecstatic Dance, so needed in our modern world.
Malaika is one of the GrandMothers of the Ecstatic Dance Movement. She has been bringing communities together in substance-free environments to dance, release, and celebrate for over 30 years. As an Elder and Ceremonialist, she brought Sacred Cacao Ceremonies to Australia, Bali, Ibiza, India, China and North America, and is one of the first to combine Sacred Cacao Ceremony with the Ecstatic Dance Experience.

DJ Ma Ecstatic Dance Dj who has played at most major festivals, a resident Dj at the legendary Yoga Barn and has taught all over the world. She has hosted transformational retreats and trainings for the past 30 years globally. You will be in very safe and good hands. Her lifelong commitment to the Shamanic Path has given her a wealth of Earth Wisdom to share both on the decks and how to hold and create an incredible container for real magic to happen.

DJ Ma is known for her richly dynamic dance journeys. As the Creatrix of 5Elements Dance, and a resident DJ at the Yoga Barn, Malaika was also the first DJ to start Ecstatic Dance at Udara in Bali.
With 17 years devoted to African Dance, her deep embodiment of rhythm lives inside every set, naturally flowing into Afro Beats, Amapiano, and primal global bass that calls the body into motion. She intuitively knows how to move a dance floor, guiding dancers from grounded pulse into wild, liberated expression and sensual somatic bliss.
Beyond the decks, she is a ceremonialist, teacher, and space holder who has supported thousands of students through DJ trainings and embodied movement practices. Her work is rooted in devotion to dance as prayer, community as medicine, and Gaia moving through the human body.
